 Official Press Release

Yesterday I had the privilege of taking photographs for the company I work for Fresenius Medical Care Canada, who was awarding Ken Sharp a local from Peterborough who has been on dialysis for 32 years. I've worked for them for 11 years and it is easy to forget why we do what we do and seeing something as positive as this encourages me to think that we are not just working our "9 to 5" but making differences in peoples lives.

It was a great day of encouragement and also an opportunity to meet Ben Lipps who is the CEO of Fresenius Medical Care AG. He has quite the inspiring story of perseverance and good old fashioned hard work! His profile can be seen all over the internet, even forbes.com.

Shooting was tricky, I had natural light coming in from the right side, fluorescent light from the top and to make it worse the walls to the left was an orange/brown colour! I pretty much used bounced flash for most of my shots shooting ISO 800 anywhere from f4-f8. I knew right away shooting .RAW would be a must with all the different colour temperatures in the room.

All in all I think everything worked out well, and it was a great experience business wise as well as personal.
